Wiz Khalifa Wanted In Romania

Wiz Khalifa is reportedly facing legal trouble overseas after Romanian authorities allegedly added the rapper to the country’s wanted list over a drug-related conviction.

Known more for his laid-back lifestyle than controversy, Wiz has built much of his public image around cannabis culture, but that same reputation has now become the center of an ongoing situation in Romania.

Reports from Romanian outlets state that the issue stems from an appearance at a music festival where Wiz allegedly smoked a joint during his set. Authorities later claimed they found approximately 18 grams of cannabis in his possession, leading to his arrest shortly after the performance.

The rapper was eventually convicted on charges connected to personal drug possession and received a nine-month sentence. Earlier this year, Wiz reportedly attempted to challenge the ruling, but the Constanța Court of Appeal denied the request.

Romanian police have since issued a warrant tied to alleged “drug-related offenses,” specifically involving unauthorized possession of cannabis for personal use. It remains unclear whether officials plan to pursue extradition proceedings from the United States.

Following the incident, Wiz addressed the situation publicly on X, saying he never intended to disrespect Romania by smoking on stage. He also thanked authorities for how they handled the situation and joked that he’d return in the future “without a huge joint next time.”
